Beach club project
The project aims to redevelop a valuable area in terms of landscape and tourism-receptive services. The current structure consists of a lightweight masonry base and a sand embankment made of wooden bulkheads and concrete slabs. A series of wooden gazebos with awnings also stand, along with assembled kiosks serving as a bar and restaurant. There are also fixed masonry structures (restrooms). All of this creates a sense of "environmental disorder." The project involves the complete removal of the entire concrete base, thus restoring the beach to its original state. A removable stilt house made of 30/50 cm diameter larch posts and 16 x 24 cm wooden beams will be constructed, raised 120 cm above the current walking surface, for greater safety, including in the event of storm surges. The new floor level will be below the existing courtyard of the adjacent building (the addition only concerns the restaurant area). The new beach facility will have a load-bearing structure made of glulam and X-Lam, completely removable and dismantled, and will not be considered a permanent structure. From the public spaces (the Aurelia road), it will be below the panoramic viewpoints and will be positioned at a greater distance of 10 linear meters from the adjacent building. The changing room area will be lowered from the existing level by approximately 64 cm and also built on stilts. The addition of part of the facility will also improve access for disabled people. The entire facility will be accessible to disabled people. All this will create a sense of environmental order. The new project consists of a space used as a restaurant and bar, with an enclosed structure. The outdoor area will consist of a portico that can be protected by installing frameless, lockable windbreaks. These will be used, given the circumstances, to operate the restaurant even during the winter months, providing a continuous tourist and hospitality service (heliotherapy). The new structure will provide approximately 120 seats and an increase in staff compared to the current situation. The access area to the facility from Via Aurelia will also be renovated, widening the existing small ramp and removing the steps to make entry easier. A small canopy will be created on the panoramic terrace, used as a beach bar, finished with solar collectors. All the systems will be installed in compliance with standards and, including the lighting, will help integrate the structure into the site, enhancing its unique features.
