Hotel Villa Elisa Bordighera swimming pool project and study for the construction of a new suite - 2023 ended

The project involves the modification of an existing swimming pool belonging to the hotel business, located on a designated terrace north of the main building. The pool is exclusively for hotel guests. The outdoor paving around it is made of terracotta tiles. The pool is kidney-shaped, blue, with an infinity edge on all sides. There are some citrus trees that will be maintained and enhanced. Below the terrace where the pool is located, the utility room is identified. This will be retained and slightly expanded as it will need to be upgraded to accommodate the new system (see drawings). The project therefore involves the construction of a rectangular 12 x 6 m swimming pool, designed to fit the existing pool, thus recovering part of the existing excavation. The existing planting will be maintained, and the terracotta will be replaced with stone-effect porcelain stoneware with anti-slip properties. The new pool will have a saltwater system, an infinity edge on both sides, and a sand-colored liner. The new utility room will be adjacent to the existing, previously authorized one. In our opinion, the new project will not adversely affect the landscape of the current solution, as it better integrates the building into the landscape. The simple, rigorous shape and appropriate colors make the whole thing more harmonious and clean. A seating area will be created, and the existing flowerbeds will be modified, seeking to standardize them more. The plants will be maintained and, in some cases, integrated.
