Beach resort project - Bordighera (IM) - 2017 - completed

TYPE: BEACH CLUB

LOCATION: BORDIGHERA (IM) - ARGENTINA SEASIDE

CLIENT: BLANCARDI MARTINO SRL YEAR: 2017

VOLUME: 310.00 m³

The project consists of the environmental redevelopment of a valuable area located at the tip of St. Ampelio, adjacent to the belvedere (former casino ruins) and the small church of St. Ampelio.

The area currently appears disordered, with a mix of wooden structures. The existing facility is composed of an agglomeration of cabins, canopies, pergolas, and kiosks of varying types, creating a sense of deterioration in one of the most representative places in the city.

The proposed intervention therefore consists of reorganizing the existing structures by consolidating all services into a single block. The project includes the construction of a building, completely removable, with a load-bearing wooden structure, clad in iroko wood boards or similar, with an insulated roof finished partly with integrated solar collectors and partly with gravel. The window and door frames will be in wood, fully integrated into the structure. The pergola on the seaward side will be a sliding bioclimatic pergola, with the possibility of enclosure, if necessary, using windproof materials. The external area will be arranged with a wooden deck, and new green areas will be created.

The structure is located below the Lungomare Argentina and is fully visible from above. Therefore, it has been designed as an aesthetically pleasing structure, also intended to be viewed from the roof level. Panoramic view corridors will not be obstructed.

This “reorganization” will be entirely removable and will have no characteristics of a permanent structure. The coping of the roof cornice will be finished in copper sheet. The external paving will consist of wooden planks and colored concrete (existing – see attached drawings). The cabins will be repositioned in a more harmonious manner, and the colors will be revised to better integrate with a naturally defined space.

The structure of the new block will consist of properly insulated wooden paneling.
